BREAST FEEDING IN PUBLIC????

Why is it that women feel that it is necessary to breast feed in public? I understand that the squalling offspring need to eat, but come on. I was in a local mall yesterday with my 12 year old step-son and we walked up on one of these public feeding mommas. Of course he had question. He was like "WHAT THE!" I tried my best to explain what he just saw. All he kept saying, and most likely is still saying is "I saw boobies." I was not prepared to tackle the barrage of questions that followed. I tried my best to keep it technical, however, the dumbfounded glare in his eye and the constant repeating of the word boobies drove me slightly insane. Here is the thing, get a pump and bottle your succulent drippings or go into a rest room or at the very least, in your car and feed your screaming monkey. Not only do I have no desire to see your leathery nips, but I should not have to explain this to my kid.
